Description
Built by Smiths of Tunbridge Wells, vehicle manufacture date stamped axles & ironwork 1886, suitable for a single horse or a pair of horses 15 hands upwards. Fully restored by Barry Wheelwright & Son in 2002.
Complete with two sets of ash shafts, pole & splinter bar, finished in sporting red & black as original.
Completely restored in finest ash English ash, parts of main body & casing repaired, box seat structure & ironwork completely dismantled, shot blasted & reassembled. Complete vehicle including shafts overhauled, replaced & renewed where necessary. Wheels cut and shut with original iron binds replaced. Paintwork finished to show standard, reupholstered & relined including leather covered ironwork, under box seat and brake system all put back as original.
This is a beautiful carriage ideal for Attelage events or Private Driving Classes.
