About Us

Carriage driving is still popular these days, even if the type of carriage driving has changed from show ring to driving trials, new people are joining in with this great hobby as an alternative if riding is no longer possible.

It can seem a minefield trying to understand about carriages, harness and what is needed. Here at Carriagelink, we aim to clearly explain to anyone who has a question about this hobby.

The business was started in 1995 by Clare Wigmore and has provided many clients with its unique service of providing help and guidance. In November 2020, Clare sold the business to Joanne Parrett, who also owns Take The Reins, the well known carriage harness business.

Joanne is well known for driving her donkeys in the show ring, her main driving donkey is called Rikita Du Bocage, who is a rare breed donkey from Northern France (Cotentin Region) nearly 13hh in height and competes in Light Trade, Private Drive and Exercise Classes, up against ponies and horses. Joanne drives ponies at any opportunity she can, donkeys are different to ponies but one thing is the same ' the joy they can give you when being driven'.

Joanne's knowledge is self taught, buying the wrong carriages in the beginning (like many people do) and is now happy to pass on her knowledge and experiences to new people.

My passion is customer satisfaction, I have taught at University level marketing and customer service for over 10 years, so have understanding of how to keep customers happy with what they are hoping to purchase for the job they intend to do.

If you have a question either email or give Joanne a call, only too happy to help.

The website to currently being updated to include some new additions which I'm sure customers will like.

Look forward to speaking to new and existing Carriagelink customers
